Group dog walks

Are you tired of dog parks and want to meet other dogs and people in a friendly and organized setting? The K9 Kounselor now offers low cost, educational and fun filled group dog walks. Get your daily exercise, enjoy the outdoors, learn a whole lot about your dog, and have your questions answered all while you are having fun walking your dog.

What to Bring:

• Doggy doo bags (we have some just in case)
• A 6 foot leash (all dogs must be leashed)
• A collar of your choice
• Dress appropriately
• Sturdy walking boots
• Your dog of course
• A willingness to have fun

About the walk

Commencing on July 3rd, group walks will leave every Tuesday morning at 10:00 am (see events calendar) from the parking lot located on Montgomery View NW at the south side of Bowness Road in Montgomery where Bowness Road and Shaganappi Trail intersect on the north side of the Bow River.

We will meet near Angels Cappuccino and Ice cream shop.

The cost for this 1 ½ – 2 hour outdoor educational walk is $25.00 per dog. There will be a maximum of 10 dogs allowed per walk so please book early.

During this walk we take you to a variety of places within the city, as well as to neighbouring communities and out of the city for hiking. We will introduce you and your dog to a multitude of diverse situations and environments and help you learn how to handle the different situations you will encounter on a daily basis.

Note this is not a training course but rather a relaxed and informative walk for those who want to introduce their dogs to other dogs and learn how to address several common dog behaviors that one can expect to encounter anytime you take your dog out for a walk.
