Konfident Kanines Inc. Comprehensive Dog Training Program Level 1 of 4
At KKI we will teach you that when working with dogs there is no “one way”, and that the very best dog trainers are flexible and open minded when working with dogs and their handlers.
We understand that to become an elite dog trainer takes experience and careful coaching. To gain experience takes time. Konfident Kanines is committed to coaching and supporting all students who enroll in our apprenticeship programs long after they have graduated from the initial program. It is our absolute goal to commit to the success of our students as they continue to learn and gain experience once they have graduated from any one or more of our four apprenticeship levels of education.
Konfident Kanines is thrilled to be offering a comprehensive dog trainers apprenticeship program. Ours is an intensive and stepped program designed for individuals who are serious about a career in dog training. This program allows those serious about becoming the very best dog trainer to do so in a progressive manner. Not everyone wishes to deal with dogs that have serious behavioral issues. Konfident Kanines has designed an apprentice ship program that will allow students to enhance their knowledge and gain experience on their terms and when it is financially prudent to do so. This program includes classroom theory as well as practical experience with a variety of dogs.
Successful completion of the program offers individuals the knowledge and practical skills required to safely manage and work with dogs, modify intermediate behaviour, as well as how to effectively teach people how to train their dogs. Graduates will be provided a KKI Behaviour Educator Certificate that will demonstrate these skills and knowledge to their clients. The goal of this program is to prepare you as a skilled dog trainer and prepare you for gaining your CDT and/or CDTA (Certified Dog Trainer or Certified Dog Trainer Advanced) as required under IACP criteria.
KKI believes that effective and successful professional and comprehensive dog trainers expand their skills only through learning and experience. Our program is founded on this premise as we strongly believe that you cannot gain enough experience to be classified as a qualified comprehensive trainer in just a matter of a few short weeks or months. Our program is committed to providing you with the theory and hands-on skills to ensure you have the confidence and experience to succeed and offers post program support to ensure your success as you enter into this rewarding and much in demand career!

KKI believes that dog friendly, balanced training methods are the most desirable and effective. It is our philosophy to educate and improve the human-dog relationship based on mutual respect, earned trust, and loyalty and to do so by forming a partnership with the dog. We do not advocate any use of intimidation, mental or physical, during the education and training of the dog. Such tactics risk impairing and eroding the human-dog relationship. Our classes are taught with balanced training techniques coupled with positive reinforcement and always setting the dog and handler up to win. We encompass all three phases of training and are committed to using only proven and humane processes.
